    I’m pretty confident the best business model for those who want to hit the middle and even the laggards, need to market something primarily to otaku, and find the best things when you apply a set of hard quality criteria and sift them through and maintain a fairly minor commercial presence so that those fanatics tell their friends, and they see that it’s out on the market too, a sort of “ohhh yeaa I remember seeing that once” thing when your friend mentions it

    the laggards use the better stuff
